CACTACOO

Cactacoos are tiny green birds shaped like a prickly pear cactus. As their likeness suggests, they are armed head to toe with sharp spines. In addition, these desert-dwellers can stay out of sight in plain sight by pretending to be real cacti. Predators are bound to think twice before attempting to sink their teeth into this little fellow as a mouthful of needles will be on the menu regardless.

Despite their stellar defenses, Cactacoo still struggle to survive in the wild. Their arid habitats do not allow for comfortable daily routines such as seeking out insects for food. Their beaks are not strong enough to pierce cacti for water, so they rely heavily on external sources such as oases. Unfortunately, these sources are unreliable and Cactacoos will often go days without anything to quench their thirst.

On the brighter side, their lower body is very plump and can contain an ample supply of water to prevent dehydration. They also love to snuggle, so be sure to wear some armor should one request a hug.
